Jonathan works with you to help make sure that your employee relationships are the best that they can be.   Now more than ever, the quality of the employer-employee relationship spells the difference between success and failure. Jonathan can help you navigate the rough waters and build solid, lasting relationships with your staff while freeing you to spend more time focusing on other core business concerns.

Jonathan's Philosophy

Jonathan takes a practical, fact based, principled and consistent approach to employment relations. Jonathan believes that clear, direct, and fairly administered rules create trust and freedom between employers and employees, resulting in a positive relationship that benefits all parties.


Proactive management that helps prevent HR issues is the hallmark of Jonathan's work.

Broad and Insightful Leadership

Jonathan holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  Earlier in his career, Jonathan was an associate at Kleinbard, Bell & Brecker, a boutique labor and employment law firm located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before becoming General Counsel to Seniors Management- North, Inc., a skilled nursing (including pediatric units) home and pediatric daycare administrative services company, which oversaw facilities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and the District of Columbia. As General Counsel for over 20 years, no issue was outside his catchment.


In particular, Jonathan spearheaded the company’s labor and employment efforts. He first chaired union negotiations, responded to organizational campaigns and strikes, managed the grievance and arbitration process, and handled general collective bargaining agreement administration. Often providing guidance before job actions were taken, Jonathan managed the process at the root level, resulting in only minimal arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges.


Equally involved in managing all types of employment and wage and hour issues, Jonathan's approach eliminated or greatly devalued potential claims at their incipient stages. 


Now operating his own HR consulting firm, Jonathan applies his proactive approach, assisting you in reaching your HR goals.

  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in responding to requests for accommodations, including transitional/light duty;  
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in responding to requests for leave;  
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in responding to employee benefits questions;
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in overseeing active labor and employment law litigation; 
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in assessing and resolving employee performance issues;
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in assessing and resolving employee relations issues; 
  • Assist Company and/or Company’s professional legal services provider in assessing and responding to employee inquiries and concerns;
